Help,
Attempted to re-programme a key fob (old `house brick' style) today, ironically using the guide that I wrote in 2013 and have used several times.
When I moved switch to learn position - alarm activated. I don't think I disturbed other wiring but a possibility.
Alarm is now permanently activated and I cannot reset. Have turned sounder off under bonnet but hazards still flash on timer.
Central locking still working and car will start ok. Run out of day-light so have given up and disconnected battery overnight.
Looking at ETM, it appears I can't simply pull a fuse without taking another circuit out. Can't work out which cable to pull on the box.
Any advice welcomed.

Unplug the whole lot and engine will run. Well, mine does!

Thanks - that will be the short-term fix. Does it take out central locking as well, or is that in separate module which I have yet to find?

central locking is separate, so that should still work of the door lock
