Grumps used to have that same problem. Then he fitted a set of my seat lifters, both problems solved for £15.I'm 6ft. 1999 z3 with standard seats. If I sit up straight with my back against the back of the seat the rear view mirror is slightly below my eye level basically blocking my view out that area of the screen.
I tend to slide down the seat so the small of my back is away from the back of the seat and I can, just about, see under the rear view mirror and I don't feel like the top of my head is swatting flies.
But, at my age, I'm not sure I'd like to keep that driving position for a few hours.
Seat "Lifters"? Wouldn't "Lifting" the seat make it worse?Grumps used to have that same problem. Then he fitted a set of my seat lifters, both problems solved for £15.

No, it doesn't because it just raises the front of the seat. This alters the angle of your knees and hips .Seat "Lifters"? Wouldn't "Lifting" the seat make it worse?
My seat has motor fore and aft as well as front up/down. I assume your lifter lifts it even more. I suppose I could test that theory by, temporarily, putting a wedge under the front of the rail and seeing how it feels. As it is though I don't think I have my seat adjusted fully up at the front anyway. No, it doesn't because it just raises the front of the seat. This alters the angle of your knees and hips .
