Hey guys. I am attempting to sell my friend's track car and get it mostly in great shape before selling it. It has the s52 and a vortech supercharger and when I initially press the pedal it stutters a little bit and then revs. Theres also fumes easily smelled as well when the car is on. Any ideas on what could be the issue would be appreciated.

Lack of exhaust back pressure can cause this, as can to "sporty" a cam, so can an air leak after the MAF sensor (assuming the ECU was correctly coded after the supercharger was fitted).
Once you start modifying an engine, you are on your own as regards sorting the problems, as nobody knows what has been done, but the above are problems that I have encountered with those symptoms.
