Good afternoon all

Re: 1998 Z3 1.9

For the sake of brevity I will not go into how long I've been reading threads and guides and How-To's on this issue. The upshot however is that I am convinced (I know - famous last words...) that my issue is a failure of my EWS to send the handshake to the DWE.

The conclusion I have drawn is that to rectify I need to removed the DME and EWS and send to a third party provider to have the EWS removed from the DME.

I know from the numerous threads on this issue that other members have carried this process out. My question is therefore, who do or who have the members used for this service? I can see someone on eBay advertising the service but I'm reluctant to rely on eBay to provide an accurate spark plug never mind reprogramming my Zed's brain.

Any help with this would be very gratefully received.

Cheers, Phil

Mine went out of sync years ago. After talking with @Stevo7682 I managed to get an old laptop and a program and did it on my own at home.

Sorry I can't be much more help as it was years ago and the EWS and stock ECU has all been removed from my car now.
